Haha. Naunahan mo ko. Was planning to do something in line with games turned live-action movies too.

But yeah, Kristin Kreuk just don’t look Chinese enough to be Chun-Li. Sure she may have Chinese blood running around there somewhere in her body, but she’s just not that convincing.

Casting, nowadays, I guess, is done based on the actor’s sellability. Not by their acting ability or if they’re really suited to be the character.

Considering na ang mga ginagawan nila ng pelikula e yung kinalakhan na ng mga tao na characters. Paanong hindi makikita kung gaano kalaking kabulastugan yung casting choices nila. haha

You forgot the Legend of Chun Li with our favorite chinese heroine portrayed by.... *drumroll* Kristin Kreuk! Lame, eh? What a slap to the face to the clearly numerous chinese choices that are fucking better. But hey, it's hollywood. When they cast chinese leads for Memoirs of a Geisha, I came to a realization that hollywood casting sucks ass.

Yeah, well. I’m still hoping they find a skinny enough, jeet kundo (? jitkundo?) sporting hottie who knows how to act to play Spike. It’d be such a waste to ruin such a movie. Gah.

Yung sa GiTS, naalala ko nabanggit nyo ni Bruce about Spielberg directing it the last time we were hanging out. And yeah. Obi shares your sentiment about these movies. Good luck daw sa mag-a-adapt.

Didja know there already released a Dragon Ball Evolution game for PSP? Characters are already based on the movie characters, not the traditional anime style.

I have to say, with big enough hair, Keanu might look like Spike. But act? Hell no. As for Akira and GiTS, HELL NO. I didn’t know about GiTS. That is such a bad, bad choice for adaptations.

But I actually find myself looking forward to Dragon Ball. I’m not going to watch it as a (rabid) Dragon Ball fan. Instead, I’m watching it for the lol. And Chow Yun Fat.
